What is Shamanic Healing and Shamanism?
Shamanic healing is an ancient form of spiritual healing. The shamanic healing techniques I use have withstood the test of time and are amazingly similar around the world, despite geographic and cultural differences among those practicing this mode of healing.
Some say it is the oldest form of healing on the planet, dating back approximately thirty thousand years. It has been found in many indigenous cultures in North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, Central and Northern Asia, Eastern and Northern Europe and Africa.
Some of the techniques include soul retrieval where I bring back an individual’s lost soul parts, and power animal retrieval, where I bring back a spiritual guardian, usually in the form of a power animal to help restore power to an individual.

Shamanic Healing Journeying Sessions
Shamanic healing and shamanic journeying, is the inner art of traveling to the ‘invisible worlds’ beyond ordinary reality to retrieve information for change in any area of your life – from spirituality and health, to work and relationships.
The practice of shamanism has been found in native Australia, New Zealand, Central and Northern Asia, Eastern and Northern Europe, North and South America and Africa. I was trained with Tribes in in New Zeland.
A shaman is a healer who moves into an altered state of consciousness to access a hidden reality in the spirit world for purposes of bringing back healing, power, and information.
Shamans believe that all problems, physical, emotional or mental, have their root cause in spiritual imbalance. A shaman works to restore balance and wholeness by addressing the root cause of the problem.
Many methods are used in shamanic healing, including soul retrieval, retrieval of a spiritual ally, removal of unwanted energies, soul remembering, ancestral work, psychopomp (helping the deceased to cross over into the Light) and hands on healing.
Is there a shaman near me?
Can I find shamanic healing near me? Yes! Shamans never work alone, but in conjunction with spiritual allies who guide them in providing what is needed for people. In my own practice I tell clients this is not my work, but rather Spirit working through me. It’s MEDIUMSHIP–out of body work that may sometimes take days in a secluded cabin to perform–depending on the level required.
My goal is always to be a clear and open channel for God’s healing, wisdom, and love to flow through me for the healing of the client.
What is a Shamanic Journey?
The shamanic journey is a gateway with infinite possibilities for healing, empowerment and information based on ancient tried and true techniques. It’s about connecting and receiving information, healing, and power from spiritual allies including my Animal Totem or Power Animal (mine are the Owl and the Seahorse).
Through the aid of ritual and drumming I am guided into altered states of consciousness to find personal Spirit Guides and retrieve power for the individual that has disposed of or destroyed by others–and has been LOST in fear.
Shamanic Journey work can provide a vehicle for continued self-healing and growth. This type of healing can be very beneficial and supports each person in becoming their own facilitator of healing and personal growth as they learn to find the “shaman” within.
